Lakeview Estates Hits New Membership High –

And Celebrates With Installation Of New Playground!

 Lakeview Estates, a private planned community at the very top of the Poconos, has been completely rejuvenated after the owners took over responsibility for the community from the developer in 2015.  In just 18 months, we have:

·       Ensured that our 150-acre lake, Lake Watawga, remains crystalline and pure. 

·       Added 7 tons of high quality sand to our private beach.

·       Entirely renovated our waste water treatment plant.  We replaced most of the original mechanical equipment and brought in a nationally top-ranked management company to maintain it, in full compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

·       Added a new 2.5 mile trail to Tobyhanna State Park to our private 2.5 miles of trails that border 400,000 acres of protected state forest.

·       Rebuilt our two tennis courts.

·       Refurbished picnic tables and benches around the community.

·       Designed and built new boat racks for our members to use.

·       Upgraded our Community Lodge.

·       Replaced the net on the volleyball court and the sand in the horseshoe pits.

·       Monitored and stewarded the variety of fish in our catch-and-release lake.

·       Entered into a long-term contract for landscaping, and added plantings and new signs around the community.

·       Prepared a twenty-year capital plan that prioritizes all of our current and future capital needs, including renovating the basketball court.

·       Balanced our budget, increasing collections from delinquent accounts to the point where only one of our homeowners is not in good standing today.

·       Opened new investment accounts for surplus funds, and negotiated preferred rates for a line of credit that we do not need but there for us in an emergency.

·       … and added a new playground for our children and grandchildren.
